Jaggi Entertainment is delighted to announce that cameras are rolling on its upcoming romantic comedy Love on Deck, a vibrant, feel-good feature set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tropical Queensland.
Led by international fan favourites Rhiannon Fish (Home and Away, The 100) and Daniel Lissing (When Calls The Heart, Christmas Keepsake) Love on Deck brings audiences a sweeping love story filled with wit, warmth, and undeniable chemistry. In Love on Deck, former lawyer-turned-event planner Samara (Fish) is rebuilding her life when she takes on a high-stakes job, planning a lavish 40th wedding anniversary celebration aboard a luxury yacht. However, her fresh start is thrown off course when she discovers the yacht’s captain is Nate (Lissing) her former courtroom rival and the man she blames for a career-defining public fallout. As the pair clash over every detail of the event, their sharp banter soon gives way to something deeper.
“There’s something incredibly special about telling a love story in a setting like this. Love on Deck has all the elements audiences love; romance, humour, and heart but it’s also about taking risks and starting over. Working with Jaggi Entertainment again, and bringing a character to life in such a beautiful part of Australia, is something I always treasure,” says Rhiannon Fish.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Colin Budds (A Vintage Christmas, Home and Away), whose career spans more than four decades across film and television, and written by Ansley Gordon (A Royal Setting, Melt My Heart This Christmas) with story by Sophie Tilson (A Royal in Paradise, Love on Deck), Love on Deck marks their latest collaboration with Jaggi Entertainment in the romance genre audience they have grown to love.
The film is produced by Steve Jaggi and Kyle Lema, continuing Jaggi Entertainment’s commitment to delivering commercially driven stories designed for both local and global audiences who love romance.
“Love on Deck is exactly the kind of story audiences are craving right now, joyful, emotional, and designed to be experienced together. We’re incredibly proud to continue building a slate of Australian-made romance films that resonate both locally and internationally,”says Steve Jaggi.
Shot in and around the beautiful scenery of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Love on Deck will showcase some of Australia’s most stunning natural locations from the turquoise waters and golden beaches to idyllic Australian nature settings creating a visually rich and escapist cinematic experience. With its sun-drenched aesthetic, coastal elegance, and relaxed Australian lifestyle, the film positions Queensland as a premier destination for both production and storytelling.
Love on Deck will be released in Australia through Jaggi Entertainment’s Romance Society and in the US and globally through Hallmark Media.
