Jaggi Entertainment unveils packed 2025 production slate kicking off with romance drama Beauty From Pain
Production is underway for Brisbane based studio Jaggi Entertainment on the romantic drama Beauty From Pain.
The film marks the first of multiple high-profile productions for the studio this year, showcasing its growing capabilities across development, production and post-production.
Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Georgia Cates, Beauty From Pain follows an aspiring musician who enters a no-strings romance with a mysterious billionaire winemaker while recovering from heartbreak in Australia. The production sees Jaggi Entertainment collaborating with global streaming sensation Passionflix to bring this beloved romance novel to the screen.
Directed by Christine Luby (This Little Love of Mine (Netflix), Dive Club (Netflix), You, Always) Beauty From Pain features Samantha Allsop as Laurelyn Prescott and Jackson Gallagher as Jack McLachlan. The feature will showcase Queensland's unique and versatile filming locations and employ over 200 local crew and cast members.
The film's commencement coincides with other major company milestones for 2025:
● Wrapping post-production on the creature-feature thriller Killer Whale at Jaggi's in-house post Production facility, Serve Chilled. Killer Whale marks Serve Chilled's first full post-productionVFX workflow since establishment.
● Advanced location scouting and pre-production for the action-horror TikCroc, slated to begin shooting mid-year. TikCroc continues Jaggi's expansion into genre films following Killer Whale and 2024's American Outlaws.
● Continued development of multiple projects under the company's expanded slate of romance and genre films.

Beauty From Pain is written by Georgia Cates and adapted for the screen by Brian Frederich, with Christine Luby Directing. It is produced by Steve Jaggi and Kylie Pascoe and Executive Produced by Tosca Musk, Georgia Cates, Mike Grey and Jip Panosot.
